Mariposa's start-up business franchise and preparation program is created on the premise that each painting and decorating owner/operator can be successful only if they are trained and enabled to be. Training Program overview

  • 2-4 months of training on a Mariposa Painting and Decorating Service Crew.

  • Self-directed, part-time training for 20 hours per week.

  • Virtual and in-person seminars, business leadership and management conferences, team collaborative and motivational workshops, and one-on-one training sessions.

  • Success in Mariposa Painting & Decorating is based on ambition and competency. At Mariposa, we teach the fundamental steps to achieve success as an entrepreneur in the property improvement industry.

  • Intensive training in all aspects of business operations and industry know-how to swiftly achieve success.

  • Attentive one-on-one training with marketing, communications, and business management support.

Mariposa's administrative management and painting and decorating experts work directly with our potential franchise owner/operator and existing team members from the moment they begin their training program. The primary task of trainers is to assist our franchise business partners in mastering trade techniques, while also maximizing quality performance, customer service, and project site cleanliness, which helps them to optimize operational success, industry and marketing credibility, and growing profitability.

Mariposa provides an extensive amount of support in marketing, with local advertising that reaches potential customers throughout the assigned region and greater surrounding areas. To maintain and take advantage of our leadership position, each Mariposa Painting and Decorating Franchise Owner/Operator is required to spend a minimum of 16% of gross profit income annually for advertising and promoting their specific franchise business operations. Mariposa's Painting and Decorating Franchise Owner/Operators work with local marketing-related resources to place advertisements and, in some cases, produce their own creative marketing material. In addition, through a voluntary cooperative effort, a franchise owner/operator is asked to participate in philanthropic projects, in which they greatly benefit from marketing techniques that are applied to obtain more volume of business. Mariposa Franchise Owner/Operators through an ambitious and reliable nature may participate on projects that are televised on mariposatv, and perhaps even HGTV Canada. The combined marketing effort is to build upon a credible and dependable brand that is unmatched in the residential and commercial property improvement industry. Which ultimately, is an advantage beyond measure for an individual franchise business operation.

Mariposa's Supply Chain department has developed an extensive network of the finest suppliers. Mariposa works closely with our suppliers to ensure our franchise business partners are provided with the highest quality products at the most discounted prices.

Mariposa has arranged a support structure that enables no immediate financial investment. This means, there is no initial investment on the part of the potential franchise partner until they have successfully evolved through our training program.

Mariposa offers many apprenticeships that range from painter to decorator to business manager. Our apprenticeship program is designed to position our painters and decorators on the fast track, improving their knowledge and trade skills, while earning a paycheck doing it. As a Mariposa apprentice, one's career journey begins from the moment they join the company team. As a new team member, an apprentice will learn how Mariposa leads the industry in providing exceptional quality products and services. With support from our management leaders, an apprentice's career development plan will lay out the on-the-job experiences and education one will receive to ensure their personal growth.
